
In February, the Business Protection Focus Group is holding a special week of events, debates and training tips to help advisers get their employer clients covered.
According to Stuart Halliwell, founder of Stuart Halliwell Consulting and founder of BP Focus week, the upcoming event will build on the success of the first BP Focus week, which took place last year.
He said: “Advisers on the first week found the debates valuable with practical insights, real conversations and guidance that supports better client outcomes – and they wanted more in the future.

The event, which will take place on 23-27 February 2026, consists of a series of debates and discussions to provide tips for advisers wanting to cover more businesses.
The goal, according to the organisers, is to expand the business protection market and appeal to new and seasoned advisers.

Business Protection Focus Week is returning in February featuring representatives from Everywhen, Iress, Waymore, London FS, Royal London, Trethowans Solicitors and Bizval.
In its second year, the free to attend virtual sessions will cover a wide range of business protection opportunities.
These include exit planning, opportunities for mortgage advisers, how group protection policies can support clients, factors affecting the value of client’s private business, practical protection for sole traders, disaster planning for business owners, business protection planning for family businesses, business whole of life and business healthcare and protection.
